Utah contains five national parks within its borders and arguably the greatest concentration of dramatic red rock scenery anywhere on Earth. The Colorado Plateau that dominates much of the state is a landscape of almost architectural precision—mesas, arches, fins, and spires sculpted by millions of years of wind and water erosion.  Utah's clear desert skies and vivid geological color palette make every visit feel like photographing on another world.
