California Landscape Photography

California contains more ecological diversity than almost anywhere else on the planet—within a single day you can move from alpine granite peaks to coastal redwood forest to sun-baked desert. The state that inspired Ansel Adams continues to draw landscape photographers for good reason. These photographs capture the iconic granite domes and valley reflections of Yosemite, the barrel cactus of Alabama Hills, the towering Redwood forests, the surreal tufa towers of Mono lake, and the surreal pastel hues of Death Valley's badlands at first light. California's sheer variety means no two visits ever feel the same.
